Jeff Bridges is the most overrated underrated actor ever.
What do you think of his work in The Door in the Floor, American Heart, and The Fabulous Baker Boys?
I definitely haven't seen The Door in the Floor, you recommend it? I saw TFBB a long time ago but don't really remember that much about it.
I definitely recommend
Door. It's his best performance this side of
American Heart which I assume you wasn't impressed by? Both of them ranked in my overall top tens for performances by decade.
Baker Boys is a favorite of mine. It was among the twenty or thirty films that were fighting to make the 95 to 100 slots in my Top 100, and it has Bridges third best performance. The Dude is fourth.
and lately I find myself actively avoiding him 'cause that Jeff Bridges thing he does in most of his movies kind of gets on my nerves.
Is this thing a certain way/rhythm of speaking, gestures, and facial expressions?
