Woah. I just watched that yesterday and ended up thinking the exact opposite, this wouldn't have been half as enjoyable with Stewart as the lead. I can't even imagine Stewart playing drunk. In general though, I think I like results of the Hitch-Stewart pairing better.

Haven't seen that one. He might be drunk in Harvey, I can't remember.

I'll say. He's freaking awesome in The Philadelphia Story.

As much as I love his overall performance and the film, Cary Grant's drunk acting in North by Northwest is pretty bad.

The best drunk acting is the entire cast of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Oh yes, he's drunk all the time in that movie. Although, now that I'm thinking about it tipsy is probably more fitting.

I love it. The moments at the police station are fantastic, Grant's timing is impeccable. The car driving goes on for too long maybe.

Yeah that was my main gripe. It's easily forgiven though.

I definitely love Cary Grant, and I think he's cast wonderfully in NNW. I'm just suddenly obsessed with Jimmy Stewart. I had never really noticed him before. All I want to do is sit on YouTube and watch people do impressions of him.

I believe Jimmy Stewart plays drunk in It's A Wonderful Life. When the teacher's husband belts him for yelling at his wife on the phone.
