Jessica Alba > Evan Rachel Wood

I hope you mean in terms of beauty and not acting because Alba cant act at all.  She might be the worst working actress today. It's pretty much a given that any movie she is in will be unwatchable (although she lucked out with Sin City).

Wood has been in some great films.

I'm not saying either of them are good actresses, but I am saying I would rather have watched Jessica Alba (who I find adorable) in The Wrestler than Evan Rachel Wood (who I find to be an annoying attention whore).

I would put Evan over Alba any day in terms of hotness and acting skills.

Yet, that dumb bitch just went back to Marilyn Manson.  What kind of idiot would go back to a self-destructive, drug-abusive has-been who made a music video in which he kills someone playing you?

I have eyes I realize Jennifer Conneley and Evan Rachel Wood are attractive, but that has no factor in how I judge their performances.

That said I finished King of California and Wood really pulled through in that.

Ben Kingsley is the greatest actor of all time. Ever. Period.
Yeah, he's good, but I find myself avoiding him.

he does A LOT of flicks for paychecks.

OTT is nothing special, a by the numbers disease movie. A good one to watch with mom or the in-laws.
:D  We probably need a thread for this: Movies to Watch with Mom or the In-laws
That is a good thread idea.
Let's do this!

I have a pair.

I've seen a few of his films, and I don't care for Errol Morris as a filmmaker.

Also... (and no, this isn't trolling FLY, but that is a fun side effect) Strangelove is lesser Kubrick.

If The Thin Blue Line isn't among them, you should see that soon and reevaluate your unpopular opinion.

That said, I voted Moore over Morris in that other poll.

I think I'd love how awkward it'd be, or how awkward it should be.

Gates of Heaven, The Thin Blue Line, and Standard Operating Procedure.

A lot of his directorial choices... I just really disliked.  For example, the reenactments on TBL I found to be public access level bad, I don't like the way they're edited... I thought SOP was his tightest of the three, which shows maybe I should give more time to some of his other newer work.  However, the early works in general feel like they've all got 10-15 minutes tacked on by interviews that just seem to go off into a random tangent, and I found them boring.

Only Morris I really didn't like was Fast, Cheap, and Out of Control. Found it thematically repetitive and the inserted clips of black and white slapstick grew tiresome fast. I'd agree the reenactments in TBL are stiff, but I love some of that high speed photography.

Regardless, I'd check out Fog of War and Mr. Death if you're looking to give him another shot.
