Someone should tell me what to do.
You should help me think of eloquent things to say to my students tomorrow about Mark Strand's "Keeping Things Whole" (a much more interesting - and philanthropic - thing to do than watch re-runs ):
I don't think I am helping.
We all have reasonsfor movingI moveto keep things whole.
And the world's got me dizzy againYou think after twenty-two years I'd be used to the spinAnd it only feels worse when I stay in one placeSo I'm always pacing around or walking away
