1990s US Bracket New Film Ballots
« on: April 06, 2008, 10:00:48 PM »
So, we're adding a bunch of new films, as can be seen in the original 1990s Bracket thread. If you are interested in joining in on the match-ups, or have previously and plan to continue participating in them, send your ballots to pixote in the following categories:

The Films You Would Fight to the Death for (limit to 10 films)

The Films You Really Really Think Should Stay In (unlimited)

The Films You're Leaning Towards Keeping In (unlimited)

The Films You're Leaning Towards Kicking Out (unlimited)

The Films You Really Really Want to Kick Out (unlimited)

If you have no opinion on a film or haven't seen it, simply don't vote on it. However, negative votes are very important.

The deadline is Tuesday April 8th at 8pm EST. Newcomers welcome. The only prerequisite is that you participate in our match-ups. Come on everyone. Let's decide something arbitrary!

Note:  You're only limited to ten films (max) in the first group (Fight to the Death For).  The other categories have no limit.

There is a glaring omission here from 1993...

So are all these films already out of contention, because if they're out, what's really the point anyway?
Goodfellas
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
Schindler's List
Silence of the Lambs
Fight Club
Dead Man
Matrix
Se7en
Leon
LA Confidential
Unforgiven
Before Sunrise
Fargo
Miller's Crossing
Big Lebowski
The Virgin Suicides
Glengarry Glen Ross
The Crow
Trekkies
Gattaca
Waiting For Guffman
Being John Malkovich

After we finish this addition to what is the first round, the next step is to go through all the losers from both halves of the first round and see which ones deserve to be resurrected. It'll be done in much the same mass participation style. So all those films might come back. For instance, there may be a virtual riot if Dead Man doesn't come back. So they aren't out, and there's still a point. Thanks for participating!

Sorry if I missed its inclusion, but if Hard Eight/Sydney is currently not on the ballot, I think it deserves to be.
