so will there be an OUS bracket at some point way down the line?

In theory!

If you've already voted and you've seen To Die For or Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, please message me to let me now what category it belongs in on your ballot.

Fixed.

Ah, I meant to explain that at some point.  Here's what I wrote to someone else today:

We've no doubt made this bracket thing seem more complicated than what it is, which is just a single-elimination tournament for American films from the nineties.  Two films are matched up at random, then someone volunteers to (re)watch them, post a comparison, and pick one of them to advance to the next round.

That's pretty much it.  Sixty-four films have already matched up (the results are in another thread), but so many films were left out of consideration that it was decided to expand the pool to include a bunch of new films in the bracket.  And that's what the ballot in this thread is all about — trying to narrow down which films (of the 190+ that have been suggested) most belong in the bracket.

How am I doing?

Done!  Check your messages.

I just noticed that someone also voted "wary of commitment" in the poll.  Just so it's clear, all you'd really be volunteering to do is to watch two films sometime over the next two months, say, and post a brief comparison of them.  If all goes well, and you want to then volunteer for a second pair of films, that's just a bonus.

Maybe the vote was an unrelated comment. They are both interested in this endeavor and wary of commitment in life. We may have just let some poor chap get something of their chests.

Also, Blake, check your messages and vote, vote, vote!

One of the wary of commitment votes was mine. And it didn't apply to this endeavor, just in general, I'm wary of commitment.

Can I add some darn David Lynch films, glaringly omitted from the list?
