Also, forget Comfortably Numb; the title track contains David Gilmour's best guitar solo

i'm sure he'd disagree with you.

Yes, but I'm right :)

No you're not.  "Time" from Dark Side is his best solo.  "Comfortably Numb" is second.  I do air guitar to both.

No, you're wrong; I'm right  :)

Just those first three notes of the Final Cut solo. Beautiful. One of, if no the, favourite Pink Floyd song for me.

But then, I also love Take it Back, which people seem to hate.

You could almost call The Final Cut a Waters solo album.
What? What are you talking about? It's girls and spaghetti. We love girls and spaghetti.

Agreed.  In fact, he sang on pretty much the entire album with the exception of "Not Now John" that he sang with David Gilmour.  I like that album but it feels more like a Roger Waters solo album.  Plus, Nick Mason didn't play much on that record.  BTW, what about Roger Waters' solo work?  I think he's made a couple of great albums in The Pros & Cons of Hitchhiking and Amused to Death.

That was because just before The Wall was completed, he was fired by Waters for not pulling his weight at the time.  Yet, he stayed on for the tour as a salaried member and ironically, was the only member in that band that made any money off of it.  By the time they did The Final Cut, Wright was long gone.

He came back to Floyd in '86-'87 as a salaried member before rejoining full-time in the early 1990s for The Division Bell

Gots to go with Animals; I'm also a sap for Roger's The Wall: Live in Berlin with Van doing "Comfortably Numb" and Cyndi helping out on "The Tide is Turning" ...

Unfortunately Dark Side of the Moon is the only one I know well enough to have an opinion about.

Even more unfortunate is that I am much more familiar with Luther Wright and the Wrongs' Rebuild the Wall, a bluegrass cover of The Wall than the original.  Where is my sense of musical history?

It's a toss up between Dark Side and Animals, but I had to go with Dark Side.
