Hopefully you'll be here in time for Fanny & Alexander.

Well, obviously I'm buying this. Biggest no-brainer ever. The only question is will ALL the bonus features be ported over? Although I guess these days I don't care that much... besides, I've already watched the extras, and I rarely watch them again.

Still, looks like it doesn't have the behind-the-scenes footage from the DVD release of Saraband, which I feel bad about losing. Might have to hold on to that one.

Kind of annoyed though that I just bought the upgrade of Virgin Spring. Haven't even had a chance to watch it yet. At least I was able to cancel my Scenes from a Marriage pre-order.

Also, I guess I'll have to hold on to the Eclipse set if I want to keep Torment (which he wrote but didn't direct), a really excellent film. Maybe I'll just keep that one disc and give the rest to the library. I hate having doubles of anything.

Saddest omission: In the Presence of a Clown.

It makes me happy how much y'all nerds are into Bergman.

October:

Shampoo - Haven't seen it, don't care.

Eight Hours Don't Make a Day - Haven't seen it, don't care.

Sisters - Seen it, no interest in seeing it again.

The Naked Prey - Seen it, no interest in seeing it again.

The Princess Bride - Seen it a few times, wouldn't mind seeing it again but I can also live without it.

Just as well there's nothing I want, I can save my pennies for the Bergman box. This is an awfully US-heavy month.

Sisters is such a weird pick from De Palma's backlog. He has a lot of way more interesting films.

Meh, I mean, who cares about Fanny and Alexander?
