Yeah, I don't feel like there was that much dissection of Avatar either. Nolan deserves a ton of harsh criticism though.

The Dark Knight Rises Christopher Nolan, 2012

These movies are fun for about 15 or 20 minutes. Then their relentlessly prosaic nature wins out, and you realized you're stuck with Nolan's incredibly oppressive and punishing love of empty spectacle for 3 hours. And then you get really bored.

The Dark Knight: 8/10
Batman Begins: 7/10
Insomnia: 7/10
Inception: 7/10
Following: 7/10

The Prestige has potential to be a 10/10 on a future rewatch.  It was very good.

Sara: Good-bye, father Isak. Can't you see you're the one I love? Today, tomorrow and forever.
Isak Borg: I'll keep that in mind.

The Dark Knight (A-)
Following (B+)
Inception (B+)
Insomnia (B)
Batman Begins (B)
The Prestige (B)
Memento (B-)
Doodlebug (C)
The Dark Knight Rises (D)

Mostly just good. I may be overrating or underrating Insomnia. I haven't seen the original yet.
