Harold and Maude.
Being There is a very close second.

I almost voted for The Landlord because I'm sure no one else will, I'm afraid no one else has seen it and it bears sight. However, I had to go with Being There.

Bound For Glory.

His best films are all very close together for me.

Never heard of him. Time to do my homework

-James Bond: A little. But I won't consider myself to be in trouble until I start weeping blood.

For some reason, I've never seen a Hal Ashby film.

A Hal Ashby marathon is starting to sound like a good idea ... even though he's not as good as Wes Anderson, apparently.

I could go for a Hal Ashby marathon.

I voted for The Last Detail, I really like that movie though Being There is great.  As far as Harold and Maude, well that is one for the unpopular movie opinions thread....

Hal Ashby is one of my top 5 directors and Harold and Maude was my vote.  My dad and I used to watch it when I was real young and we both loved it.  Every time it was on TV we would sit and laugh our asses off.  I now laugh, but more than anything I smile wryly at the immense emotion the film is charged with.  So many layers!

I've only seen Harold and Maude (and I love it).
