Did I read this?  Could someone tell me?  I think someone bought it for me once, but I don't remember reading it.

I'm surprised you haven't read it since the story is set against the construction of medieval cathedral.  It may bore you with detail you already know, but for me, it was an eye-opener as to how to view a cathedral in terms of structure, meaning, significance of artifacts, etc.  I've seen lots of cathedrals since my first reading of this book and I have yet to have a guide inform me of something general concerning construction that I didn't already know from reading Pillars of the Earth.

Did anyone else notice the glaring anachronism on page 81 (paperback edition).  A similar one occurs on page 161.
