The differentiating of "Best" and "Favorite" bugs me.

I can totally see both sides of it.  But for me, I keep one list.  It hurts my brain too much to try to differentiate it too much.

When I stop paying attention to current affairs.

On Sunday, I missed the TV debate of the two candidates for chancellor, and yesterday I missed the debate of the three opposition party leaders. The election is in less than two weeks, and I really need get better informed....

I actually consider a lot of movies to be life-changing! I take them to my heart and they melt into my personality.

Like Mononoke, I too hate it when Emiliana stops paying attention to world affairs.  Just gets under my skin, you know?  Pay attention, girl!

I am currently addressing this issue: they conveniently scheduled a three-hour election special tonight.

Don't you know you're supposed to just pick a party based on 1 or 2 trigger issues and always blindly vote for the member of that party every time?

when someone comes to the apt to fix something and then leaves an absolute mess in their wake - the old broken pieces, packaging, dirt and debris that came from inside the walls
But I wish the public could, in the midst of its pleasures, see how blatantly it is being spoon-fed, and ask for slightly better dreams.

A: I have something to tell you.
B: Okay, but can I just say first how happy I am about X? (or: ...how much I love you?)
A: *smiles*
B: Now what was it you were going to tell me?
A: Oh, it's not important. (or: X is even better than we thought!)

where X = some lie/misunderstanding.
