Calling a film a movie , unbeilevably irritating to me.

Fac10, I LOVE your avatar.
I actually consider a lot of movies to be life-changing! I take them to my heart and they melt into my personality.

I don't know fellow gender ambiguous entity, they are pretty interchangeable terms. I mean, I get that it's your pet peeve, but I personally don't see the difference myself.

I don't follow.
-Le Chiffre: You changed your shirt, Mr Bond. I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire.

-James Bond: A little. But I won't consider myself to be in trouble until I start weeping blood.

A common name for film in the United States is movie, while in Europe the term cinema is preferred.

Movie does sound like an american moniker.

I like cinema the best.

Movie, Film and Cinema all have distinct connotations for me. I don't mind it so much...until someone calls X Blockbuster Cinema.

No! No! No!

Flicks is a good, ambiguous term that should probably be used more when talking about a film casually.
