I'm new to filmspotting and the forum. I was just going to post a thread asking how to download older shows, and this thread was the first one that I saw.  ;D

Thanks!

Not sure if this is the place, but as a second way of downloading old shows, is it possible to add "all" the episodes to the podcast-feed.

The itunes etc will only download this when people click on "show all available episodes" and then click on the get button.

And keeping all on one place is a good thing :)

Greetings,

Edzo Botjes.

Hey Edzo, no plans to add them to podcast feed. It's going to be part of what you get from our apps.

Hi,

I need HELP.  Have always been able to download episodes directly onto my IPod, and now I suddenly can't.  All the NPR shows like This American Life, etc. as well as other shows that are connected in some way with NPR, like Filmspotting and Radiolab, are also not downloading.  When I go directly to ITunes OR when I click on a previously downloaded episode's "GET MORE EPISODES" link, it takes me to ITunes but only to a page with reviews and "more from this provider" links.  No episodes at all; nothing to click on.

Has anyone else had this problem or is it something wrong with my IPod?

Thanks,

Deb in Ohio.

Hi deb, I am in Ohio as well.  Just north of Cincinnati.  Do you have the Filmspotting App?  Is that how you are downloading the episodes directly to your iPod, or is it through iTunes on your iPod?  When I go to iTunes on my computer, the last 100 or so are available for download.  So it may be a problem with your iPod, if you are directly trying to download to it.

I'm doing it on my Pod, and it's through ITunes.  Most of the other podcasts I listen to are still available, like Tobolowsky Files and / Filmcast.  Just the NPR ones seem to be affected.  It's weird, since before about a week ago, I could download any podcast with no problem.   My daughter tried hers and couldn't get it to work either.  Can you think of any fixes?

Thanks for the reply--I love Cinci; we should try to get a F'spotting Meetup going if there are enough local folks.

Is the software up to date on the iPod?  Maybe that is causing the problems.

We're on WBEZ but nothing about the podcast is connected to NPR, just FYI.

I've been enjoying listening to episodes with the Stitcher app on my iphone, until recently when I found that Filmspotting was no longer available via Stitcher.  Any reason why?  I can listen other ways, but this seemed most convenient.
Stitcher is requiring shows to agree to their partnership terms now to be offered via their network. I haven't had time yet to read over the terms as it was something I was just made aware of last week.
