I almost fell asleep the first time I tried watching it. So I turned it off and tried again sometime later and really liked it. I think it's a film you need to be in the mood for.

Also I know a lot of people did not like Neil Young's score. Did the music not work for you?

Ebert wrote it sounded like a man constantly dropping his guitar, IIRC.
