easily Permanent Vacation, this is the odd-out of all his films, though i haven't seen the neil young thing and some of the C&C shorts do nothing for me, but they all play on his omni-present theme; michael, i can't believe you chose Stranger Than Paradise, so wrong

i'm not wrong. it's my least favorite film i have seen of his.

So you've only seen two of them?

1. Dead Man
2. Stranger Than Paradise
3. Night On Earth
4. Ghost Dog
5. Down By Law
6. Coffee And Cigarettes
7. Mystery Train
8. Broken Flowers
(9. That Neil Young documentary)

I'm assuming that's the "Director's Best" list, right?

That's all the ones I've seen, best to worst.

I still haven't seen those first three films of his (I'm watching them in reverse chronology). Coffee and Cigarettes is by no means a bad film, it's just kind... It doesn't work as often as I would like it to.

Coffee and Cigs was a bore. The Neil Young film isn't great either. Enjoyable for big fans of Crazy Horse but generally pretty tedious.

Why are there two votes for Stranger Than Paradise? Madness.

Coffee and Cigs could have been good, but the best material was padded out with crap.

Yeah, I have no idea why he made this into a feature. I remember a lot of people leaving the theater back then.

Why is there no "They are all great. Yes, even that Neil Young one" option?
