Dear Sydney,

Hey, you want a cookie?  You want a cookie?  Aww, I know you do.  I know you want a cookie.  So, come on.  Just get in the car and I'll give you a cookie.  That's right.  Get in the car and then I'll take you back to America... where you'll get more cookies!  Better cookies!  Not these crap Irish cookies!  Come on, be a good dog, get in the car and get your cookie, you cute thing you...

Love,
pixote

dear pixote,

sydney doesn't eat cookies. And she can detect bulls***. Nice try though.
Also, we call them biscuits.
and I'd like to know how you thought you were going to drive across the atlantic.

This one disturbed me.

trying not to think of you creepily stealing my dog,
gman.

Dear Rolling Stone magazine,

Your 5-star review of the new U2 album is total shit.  You disappoint me David Fricke.  After this, the 5-star review of the new Bruce Springsteen album and putting idiots on the cover.  The magazine that was once cool 40 years ago is now officially irrelevant.

Signed,

Void

I think that's been official for some time now.

They don't call him "Five Star" Fricke for nothing.

Are you shitting me?  Is it as good as Born to Run, Nebraska, and Born in the U.S.A. with all of its polished production?  I've heard tracks from that record and I wasn't impressed.

Actually I am.  Rolling Stone will give 5 stars to any Bruce effort that isn't an utter disaster.  But I'd give it 4 stars.  I really like it.  Everyone is crazy about Magic, apparently, but other than Radio Nowhere, Long Walk Home and a couple of other songs, I thought it was just okay.  I think The Rising is a masterpiece, though, and would put it up against Born in the USA and even Born to Run in a second.

Dear Mr. Snyder,

Tonight I'm watching your visionary film, Watchmen. You better not have CINECAST!ed it up.

Sincerely,
