That one's not quite working for me - not sure why. I'll keep trying to think of something . . .

We better think of something before Skjerva finds out about this!  ;)

then we would have to make is completely gender-neutral (i.e. godpersons)
Strikeouts are boring - besides that, they're fascist.  Throw some ground balls.  More democratic.

Maybe we could approach it from a different angle and make it "Annie Hall" or "Amélie" or "Ripley" or something...? (Certainly not "The Bride" though ;))
That's what I was going for with this. It's too bad Ripley didn't have a cooler title.

I love this idea. It is so forum specific. We should do a poll and vote for the best one then change it (if changing it is even possible?).

Yes, I'd really like something like this idea, too. (And no, definitely not The Bride! :D )

My dear Filmspotters,

I would just like to thank you all for the wonderful love and support you've shown me over the years I've been a part of this forum. You are truly a special bunch of folks.

Without you, I would not be the man I am today.

My warmest regards,
oad

Easily - you are one of the nicest most insightful people here...always a pleasure reading your posts.

Congrats to your graduation, oad!  You are great!

As far as titles, maybe it should be changed to actors or directors.  Could be Brando instead of Godfather and Hepburn as the counterpart?  Or we could go with a director that is gender vague, such as Coppola-- for both Francis and Sophia?

Dear Fellow Filmspotters,

Changing Godfather to a different designation is easy.  However, changing it to two different designations is not easy.  If you change it, go gender neutral, not one for guys and another for gals.

We tried this once before and no one came up with much.  Using Objectively Awesome for 10,000 seems to be getting closer to what works than trying names of persons etc.

We're game for a reasonable change that everyone can agree on.

Dear Netflix,

It's bad enough that you have given me short notice that the first season of Star Trek is being taken off of instant, but now your player refuses to load. Let's fix this, okay.

Cheers,
