I'm going to San Diego for a conference in July, but I don't think there will be much vacationing involved.

I used to call the San Diego Comic Convention a "conference" to my friends and co-workers, too. :D

Nope, it's the SIAM Annual Meeting (Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics) two weeks before Comic-Con.  While it may have the geekiness, there's considerably less chiciness.   At the moment, the most exciting part may be whether or not my Chinese colleague's visa will allow him to go to Tijuana for dinner one night.

The Monterey confernce is the XVth International Congress on Rheology.

Three days at the beach in Barcelona.

rest my case.
-Le Chiffre: You changed your shirt, Mr Bond. I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire.

-James Bond: A little. But I won't consider myself to be in trouble until I start weeping blood.

I am leaving tomorrow night to head out west.  I am visiting a lot of national parks and national monuments throughout Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas!

Orientation! Sunny Los Angeles!

One week from today!

Looks like I might be seeing Reds at the ArcLight Monday night.  Cross your fingers.

I think I'd love how awkward it'd be, or how awkward it should be.
