I recently travelled to Phoenix for a Lawless film fan convention, aka a family reunion, held at the (Bob) Bondurant School of High Performance Driving...presumably for an audition for rumrunners, though that part was somewhat unclear to me. In the timed trial on a parking lot gymkhana, I ended up finishing 5th of about 65 family members, within a second of the time put down by the school's namesake himself.

I will probably have other pictures as I get them from my father, but for now I have this:

Feeling a bit underdressed...thinking I should keep the hat though.

5th place! That's excellent and yeah, that hat's a keeper. Hope you had a great time all around.

Firsts, this time through Vegas!  (Don't expect much.) :D

The more important Bellagio Fountains:

Cobweb chandeliers at The Cosmopolitan:

Long lines at the Vegas sign:

UNLV game (That's my daughter in the Michael Jackson outfit conducting the band.):

Hiking with my "grandkids" in Red Rock Canyon:

Parking lot on the freeway heading home:

And my personal favorite, over 1/2 a minute to cross a street:

Hey cool, how was Red Rock?

Beautiful. We went there on Black Friday, thinking everyone was shopping, but all the other non-shoppers where thinking the same thing. Luckily it can absorb a lot of people. We bypassed the first two busier locations (lots of rock climbing) and went onto the Willow Springs Loop. It was a perfect day for hiking (I'd be miserable there in the summer. :D) and not many people there at all.

Thanks saltine! I'll let her know what you said. It'll make her day. I was worried she was going to fall off that platform doing her MJ spins. :D

Have a wonderful trip jdc!
