That sounds amazing, Sandy! Any cities/areas in particular you plan to visit?

 :)

My husband has a conference in Leipzig and some other meetings in Germany and Great Britain. We'll visit Berlin, Frankfurt, London, stuff in the middle (Jane Eyre and Pride & Prejudice movie sites too!) and Edinburgh. It's fly by the seat of the pants travel (as the meetings get solidified), but it's a great way to travel economically.

Nice, Sandy! Are the kids coming too or is this just you and your husband?

I'm bringing my 15 year old son too. It's the perfect age for seeing the world, right? :)

I was 15 when I toured France and England. Among other things it was the first time I bought alcohol without ID. Meanwhile in Canada I've been ID'd as recently as 2 years ago (I'm 30). :-\

My point is, 15 was a good age to visit Europe. :)

I leave for Montana tomorrow morning.  But I have to say, I'm pretty jealous of Sandy's trip.  Have a great time!

I got ID'd tonight, at 31, at a bar I go every single week. This particular bartender is not one of the regulars however.

I don't normally see people get ID here except there use to be some higher end bars/clubs that use to want to keep younger males out.  So they had a policy of no guys under 21 or 24 though but no restriction on girls as long as they were drinking age which is 18.  I think the only thing that probably keeps the younger people out of the bar is the cost of alcohol.

The youngest I got in a bar was just after my 16th B-day in England with my older cousin during an afternoon just after he picked up his exam results.
