Thanks, saltine!

It was very relaxing and most likely we'll return next year.

4th of July weekend away from Midland, almost a must!

Fr: A drive through central Texas, a visit to the Texas State Capitol, a beer at Scholz's beer garden, then walking on the UT campus, dinner at a gastropub in the University area

Sat: Visit the Bob Bullock Texas State Museum, drive to Lockhart for Black's BBQ, drive to Houston, visit to Downtown Aquarium, dinner at Landry's Seafood restaurant, then GARTH BROOKS in concert.  It was his last Houston performance and lasted until 2am.

Sun: Drive home on I10, stopping at Taco Casa in Kerrville, our favorite Texas tacos.

A great Texas weekend with family!

So much fun to eat at random places here in Firenze.  The gnocchi in Siena was great, the Bistecca Fiorentina was amazing here, have to do that again.  Though I think the food truck porchetta panino is my favorite so far.

Texas is home, I do miss the bbq, but always have preferred Kreuz's to Blacks in Lockhart.

Next week Rome.  A month in Italy seems like a long time, but it's moving along.
