I also love how you put this job in the vacation thread. It looks so quiet and peaceful there, but if you ever get the heebie jeebies at night, just come to chat and we'll keep you company. :)

Nice quilt up on the ceiling. Is that for insulation or decoration? :)

It actually looks very nice, not sure I can deal too long in that kind of climate. I need humidity

Yeah it's dry af. Plus these wood burning stoves dry out the air inside even more.

Properly cold this morning.

My best guess is that it was origiinally framed out for a skylight, and then because of how how poorly those perform in the winter they closed it up. And the blanket is some small insulation value.
