This is the most smirnoff thing of all time. I love it.

I also love how you put this job in the vacation thread. It looks so quiet and peaceful there, but if you ever get the heebie jeebies at night, just come to chat and we'll keep you company. :)

Nice quilt up on the ceiling. Is that for insulation or decoration? :)

Looks cozy, and a good opportunity to catch up on movies/book/sleep, enjoy !

And Seek out the neighbours with an Ax.

It actually looks very nice, not sure I can deal too long in that kind of climate. I need humidity

Yeah it's dry af. Plus these wood burning stoves dry out the air inside even more.

Properly cold this morning.

My best guess is that it was origiinally framed out for a skylight, and then because of how how poorly those perform in the winter they closed it up. And the blanket is some small insulation value.

Yeah, I guess not much light would come through under a couple feet of snow.

Going to Coron, Philippines tomorrow for 1 week and going to leave my work laptop at home. That will be the first time I have done that since pretty much since I first got a laptop from work back in 1997 or so...

Hopefully back to watching some films in June but I know I will be in July

Finished my stint in the woods. It's looking quite different now up here.

Been living nice and rustic in an old cabin since May, and they've kept me around as a general handyman. It's been nice. I gottA walk to the lodge to get in wifi range, but it's okay. There's more people around now and we've been having fun after hours.

I'm back to civilization now, begrudgingly. At least for the time being.
