pixote's dedication to the far east bracket is awesome.

I would have to agree. Dedicated despite that the bracket never really took off. At least not like the U.S. bracket did. There are normally 2 or 3 comments on a verdict and then no more posts until another verdict comes in.

the problem is is that noone has really seen the films in the bracket, so not many people have opinions on them. In the 90's bracket, for most of the matchups I'll have a movie I've seen at least, and one I root for to win. In the far east, most of the time I've never heard of the movies. Though maybe that's just me.

Yep, that's probably the reason people don't have much to say when the verdicts are posted. That's also the reason I love this bracket so much because it opens up so much stuff for me to discover and potentially fall in love with. FWIW, I read and enjoy every single verdict. It's just that without watching the films, I don't really have much to add to the discussion. It does however help get me excited about watching certain films in subsequent rounds. It's also helped bring certain filmmakers that I had never even heard of to my radar.

So yeah, pixote is completely awesome as are all the filmspotters participating and posting verdicts in the far east bracket.

I love Melvil's enthusiasm for animation. It's not like I didn't watch or like them before but I enjoy watching the animated shorts Melvil keeps posting here which I wouldn't have discovered otherwise.

Are hamstes and rats related to one another somehow?
-Le Chiffre: You changed your shirt, Mr Bond. I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire.

-James Bond: A little. But I won't consider myself to be in trouble until I start weeping blood.

That's gross. Hamster stick to their own species.
