I find Jerry Maguire infinitely rewatchable - the mix of sports and romance makes in high on the list of films my wife and I don't mind watching together.

Say Anything never did anything for me.

Almost Famous is all-time great

Say Anything
Almost Famous
Singles

Jerry Maguire

This was a tough one. Cameron Crowe is only a couple of years older than me, so I could really relate to Almost Famous. I feel sad for anyone born after 1970 because you never really got the chance to experience what we did at concerts. Back then it was about the music and the moment. 8 bucks for a ticket, a nickel bag of good herb, a six pack and a memory to last a lifetime. There was nothing better than a General Admission concert. You'd get there 6-8 hours before the show... drink, smoke and mingle with new people you'd never met before. Almost Famous always brings a tear to my eye when I watch it. He captured that time so perfectly.

But...Lloyd Dobler is the best teen character of the eighties. I think Crowe did his best writing in that film...

Lloyd -“I’m a guy, I have my pride”

Corey - “The world is full of guys…be a man!”

Hey all. The official Cameron Crowe site is back in business, so do check it out. Cameron has two documentaries (The Union, Pearl Jam Twenty) and a new feature film (We Bought a Zoo).
