Sanjuro - Revisiting this for the first time in 13 years, I still can't agree with 1SO that this beats out Yojimbo. But I can see why he likes it so much. The plotting is really solid, and there's a lot of clever bits of business. It may lack some directorial flair in comparison to Kurosawa's other works, but the screenwriting is to be admired. It goes up a couple of notches in my rankings. Rating: Very Good (85)

I haven't watched a Kurosawa film in a long time, after reading this, I may have to do a double feature tonight of both of these.
