Seen Ran, Rashomon, Seven Samurai... voted for "haven't liked anything I've seen".

well of course you didn't. Rambo is one of you favorite films this year  ;)

I have to go with Seven Samurai. Beautifully shot and told story. Plus, it has seven samurais in it! Seven!
-Le Chiffre: You changed your shirt, Mr Bond. I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire.

-James Bond: A little. But I won't consider myself to be in trouble until I start weeping blood.

Dersu Uzala, Seven Samurai, Kagemusha (the last scene, post-battle is incredible! ...and the film gets ignored because of Ran) and High and Low.
Critical Culture: cinema, literature, history.

1. Seven Samurai
2. Yojimbo (nostalgia, it was my first Kurosawa film, and my first non-English film)
3. Rashomon
4. Ikiru
5. Throne of Blood
Had a slight weapons malfunction, but everything's perfectly alright now. We're fine, we're all fine, here, now, thank you. How are you?

Like in Ran, only the jester can reveal the truth. ;D

Seriously though, I'm gonna rewatch it again soon, but it has proven to be so very long and boring that I've never made it past the two hour mark without losing all patience with it.
