Which cultural touchstone would you use more often, "Yippie-kai-yay-..." or flux capacitor. Yippie, obviously.
Actually...
I regularly quote BttF. I certainly use "great scott!" all the time. I never ever quote Die Hard. It's a great action movie no doubt, but not even a close matchup. Back to the Future is one of the best films ever made easily, while Die Hard is simply one of the best action movies ever made.
And how are Biff and George annoying? George is amazing!
And oh my god what great dialogue.
"'Take your damn hands off her!' Do you really think I outta swear."
"Yes, definitely, Goddammit, George, swear!"
"Take this you mutatin' sonofabitch!"
"Look! There's a rhythmic ceremonial ritual coming up!"
Doc Brown: Then tell me, Future Boy. Who's President of the United States in 1985?
Marty: Ronald Reagan.
Doc Brown: Ronald Reagan? The actor!? Then who's vice-president, Jerry Lewis? I suppose Jane Wyman is the First Lady? And Jack Benny is Secretary of the Treasury!
Doc Brown: What am I wearing?
Marty McFly: Oh this, this is a radiation suit.
Doc Brown: Radiation suit? Of course! Because of all the fallout from the atomic wars! This is incredible. A portable television studio! No wonder your president has got to be an actor, he has to look good on television.
"Sounds pretty heavy."
"Weight has nothing to do with it."
And of course the classic line:
"Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads!" *cue Huey Lewis and his faithful News*
