Best Pixar Short
« on: July 13, 2008, 06:53:50 PM »
Watching Pixar Shorts and everytime the next one came up my wife and I would say "this is the best."

Can't decide, but it'd be between Boundin', One Man Band and Presto.

Geri's Game, I always thought it was their most creative. Red's Dream is runner-up, it's amazing how much emotional depth they can put into a little unicycle.

I agree with his opinion... Geri's Game is the most creative and extremely enjoyable.

Boundin' Boudin' Boundin' Boudin'

One Man Band is a close second.

Geri's Game was great and I loved Presto, but I've only seen that once so I'll go with GG.

My 3 year old granddaughter knows the answer is For the Birds which she watches and explains what's happening in detail.  Her favorite part is "Feathers!" Then, "naked birds" as she shakes her head with compassion.

I think we can all agree that other than the tie-in shorts (Mike's New Car, Jack Jack Attack, Mater and the Ghostlight) each one of Pixar's shorts is a masterpiece in its own way. The shorts are where Pixar experiments with new styles, lighting techniques, effects, and often using untested staff to direct. The short-films on their own, and in some ways moreso than the feature films, are completely indicative of why Pixar is the best studio today.
