Escape At Dannemora (Showtime) is currently running. It is an entertaining prison drama directed by Ben Stiller. Patricia Arquette's performance is superb while Benicio del Toro is charmingly evil. All that aside, I really like the gray and bleak ambience of this mini-series.

Netflix to adapt One Hundred Years of Solitude as series

https://variety.com/2019/digital/news/netflix-one-hundred-years-of-solitude-gabriel-garcia-marquez-1203156110/

My guess is they want Cuarón to direct. But I think Ciro Guerra and Christina Gallego (Embrace of the Serpent and Birds of Passage) are Colombian directors who would be perfect for this.

I mean if we can't get Keanu. I like Cho a lot, just hoping he can pull off the fight scenes.

A doc series I worked on last year is now on Netflix. JAILBIRDS. Sort of a real life Orange is the New Black, and kind of lives up to that comparison. It's a little more docu-soap than incisive reporting, but I thought we were able to raise questions about the criminal justice system within those confines.

Witcher looks not good. I heard it had lots of problems during production. Shame because the series has a take on fantasy that I quite like.

It seemed like some games press were reacting positively to it, not that it means much. I haven't watched the trailer yet, though obviously I'd take your opinion in higher regard than some games people on Twitter, but I'll likely give it a chance when it comes out; however, I'm not sure I'm a fan of/sold on HC as an actor in general.

The Boys drops tomorrow on Amazon. In a world of so many superhero stories, I really like that this one is about superheroes being jerks.

Same, I used to read this comic. It by Garth Ennis - the same guy who did Preacher. Lots of violent gory fun.
