Did anyone watch Fringe last night? If so, is it worth watching?

It was terrible. Didn't watch all of it, but a bunch of us were laughing at how bad it is.

I'm a tad afraid of Fringe. I plan to watch it eventually, since it looks like one of the few promising new shows this season, but I can't help but think I'll constantly be comparing it to Lost, the X-Files, and just because Lance Reddick shows up in it, The Wire. Those are three shows you don't want to walk in the shadow of.

way too close to the x-files for my taste, and since its a j.j. project, there will be about 100 characters too many and no answers to be had. at least x-files only had about 6 important characters and no answers to be had.

It's Emmy night!

...And even though we're only halfway through the show, already three disappointments for me. Jeremy Piven wins yet again for supporting actor in a comedy (I'm really just tired of him), Michael Emerson doesn't win best supporting actor in a drama (though granted I never saw Damages so I can't comment on winner Zeljko Ivanek), and Kristen Chenowith shutout in supporting actress in a comedy (I love Jean Smart but really I'm not a big Samantha Who fan). At least Daily Show and Colbert Report got wins.

EDIT: Another disappointment with Steve Carell losing best actor in a comedy again. Honestly, his work on The Office is the best performance on network television right now. At least the winner was Alec Baldwin, who's also great on 30 Rock (though I don't think he brings the same depth to his role that Carell does).

How does Mad Men win best drama yet Jon Hamm doesn't win best actor in a drama? The Emmy's are dumb.

At least 30 Rock won pretty much everything.

How do you manage to bother giving television awards as if the Wire doesn't exist?

But I do love Tina Fey!

Watched the first two episodes.

We won't be watching anymore.
