Wait, Hulu is exclusive to Americans? I thought Hulu was just a download site for any TV/movies, or is it exclusive to a studio or something?

It's not exclusive to Americans, no. But for most of the videos there is region protection because the broadcasters only have the rights to air the video in the US. So the site blocks IPs from other countries. HULU claims to be working on getting the videos to work in other countries, but I doubt it'll happen any time soon.

Episode 3.1 of the funniest show on TV* is now up on hulu and NBC, one week before its premiere!

*30 Rock, of course.

I had never seen an episode of 30 Rock before this, and I loved it! Thank God for Hulu. Sorry, non-Americans.

You need to get yourself season 1 and 2 immediately. IMMEDIATELY.

I've been watching tons of 30 Rock season 1 & 2 over the last few days. Why is it so good? I just watched the episode where Tracy starts making his porn video game and it turns into a parody of Amadeus. I feel like I'm going to die laughing every time I see it.

I'll be the one to rise in defense of Fringe.  It is ridiculous, but I find myself laughing with it, not at it.  In both Alias and Lost, there's this giddy sillyness at the macroscopic plot level, but deadly seriousness at the small scale things.  Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't.

And I have to think the production staff is regreting the decision to go with those floating 3D titles to tell us where we are.

I totally agree. It's silly on purpose and good at it. John Noble is awesome.

John Noble makes that show - and that's enough for me.  But I confess that I really like it.

The show mixes high and lowbrow so well.  Most of the supporting characters are brilliant (Dr. Spaceman, Will Arnett's cameos, Kenneth, I could do this all day) and the lead work is the best in comedy.

Seriously, if you aren't watching 30 Rock please do.  From what I hear it has awful ratings but at least it seems like NBC really supports it (despite waiting so long for the premiere after all those Emmy wins, that just seemed stupid. Yeah, I know, American just can't get enough Kath & Kim).

Agreed, it's a good show. I completely missed it when it first aired but was stuck on a plane a while back that was showing crappy films and ended up watching the entire first series on the flight because it was so funny.

My devotion to Tina Fey goes back long before the Palin days, so I've been with it since day one. Which of  course drew me into some ugly battles with my pretentious pro-Studio 60 friends.

Season 2 was good, just not quite as consistent as the first one.

Wrong. Season 2 was better.

To be honest, I never really liked her on SNL all that much.  30 Rock really turned me around on her, I really only started watching it because of Baldwin and Tracy.  I never understood the 30 Rock/Studio 60 thing, they really couldn't have been more different.  At least the best show came out on top.
