All Time Best Pixar moments
« on: June 03, 2018, 05:41:40 PM »
Any kind of moment is valid. I made this thread thinking more about the dramatic, poignant, emotional ones, but humorous moments, action scenes, any kind is welcome.

The opening montage of Up, giving the life of his romance
No cape from The Incredibles
Learning to be steered by Ratatouille
The Luxor Jr short (because of what it was when it came out)

That's it for the moment. I will wait to slap my forehead as others chime in with ones I forgot.

The R-rated deleted sex scene from Wall-E.

I didn't know how to answer because I'd have a list, a very long list. don gave me the idea of naming just one. Perhaps as a group we can each pick one and eliminate it from all the must-haves in any good Pixar montage. Or the moment that most speaks to you.

With that in mind, I have to go with this...

I can't. Not again.
I'm not … strong enough."

Even though I wish you would post about something besides Pixar or Spielberg, I'll give a nod to "When She Loved Me". Absolutely destroys me.

You guys already named most of my favorites, with the montage from Up at top.

But the silent opening segment in Wall-E would be second.

I wonder how that silent montage plays to a err...more seasoned spectator as yourself, oldkid.

This opening scene from Up (2009) gets my teary eyed every single time. The emotions from both Ellie and Carl as they go through the different life stages together and the love they have for one another is just pure and absolutely beautiful.
