So either way I'm gonna end up with another Dead Man Fiasco?

Nevermind. Both of them are the dubbed version.

I don't think I will be able to participate in this one until winter break when I can get to a good library.

do you not go to UConn anymore?  i can't believe the librarians there wouldn't be able to track films down for you
But I wish the public could, in the midst of its pleasures, see how blatantly it is being spoon-fed, and ask for slightly better dreams.

I plan on being more helpful, but I haven't really looking into our libraries yet.

I do. I don't know if the liberrieans are any good though. Half of them are young and stupid.

Hopefully people aren't stressing too much about picking two films to match up.  Random selection can be fun, too.  I mean, I'll be sad if someone doesn't pair up Kamikaze Taxi and Suicide Bus just based on those titles.

I've been spending way too much time reading about these movies, so if you want some recommendations or a semi-random assignment, just send me a PM with what kind of films you'd be interested in watching and your DVD source(s).

Matchups so far:

Fong Sai Yuk II vs. The Eagle Shooting Heroes  (sdedalus)
Iron Monkey vs. Tokyo Fist  (Wilson)
Bullet in the Head vs. Country Teachers  (smirnoff)
Ashes of Time vs. Kikujiro  (edgarchaput)
Chungking Express vs. Rainy Dog  (lotr-sam0711 )
Dead or Alive vs. License to Live  (faceboy)
Be There or Be Square vs. Dream Factory  (worm@work)

The last two matchups were created by sending me a pair of random numbers between 1 and 276, and I picked the closest two films that matched that person's sources for DVDs.

Extending the seeds is a good change, pixote.

Indeed. I'm also quite proud of the title dichotomy of my random matchup.

We may have had our first casuality ... unless someone can find English subtitles for The Dream Factory (1997).
