I dunno what that was but it was good. Real good. There's not enough fiddlin' in movies these days.

Do you know the guy (Ashley MacIsaac), smirnoff? From what I've read he's rather controversial for a Canadian.

I know the name and I know he's a fiddler (I've heard much of his music), but I'd never actually seen the guy.

I had no idea he was controversial.

____

I just did a little research. Check out the kick move he does at the end of this performance on Conan, lol. Fuzzed out. :D

[noembed]When I was in junior high school, "Devil in the Kitchen" was on MuchMusic constantly - he was the fiddler for us alt kids. He got in trouble at a New Years Eve show in the late 90s when he freaked out at an audience and was screaming racist and sexist stuff. He later claimed it was some kind of performance art. He seems to be partly calculating and partly kind of nuts. He's also had some addiction problems. But he performed during the Olympic opening ceremonies so I guess all is forgiven. [/noembed]

Late to the party, but which story in "Chungking Express" do you guys enjoy more?

Only seen it once, but I preferred the second half. I was mostly just confused by the first part. I didn't know what kind of movie to expect.

It's pretty hard not to fall in love with the second story. I even started listening to Faye Wong songs for a while.
But I'm liking the first one more with every viewings.

If I recollect, I think I liked the first one more but maybe that was just because of the pineapple.

How about Wing Chun vs. Beat for my next matchup.
