The problem, as I see it, with Shane is not that it's not a chick flick, but that it's not a good flick.

I think quite a few people would disagree, including my parents. But it was either that or High Noon. I'm sticking with Shane.

I'm having to conclude that you haven't seen Johnny Guitar.

I don't see that there's any 'science' in The Birds either. In fact, the reason it is so unnerving is that the events cannot be explained or measured in any rational manner. Sorry to be pedantic, but it's just not a sci-fi.

Okay so pretend I didn't put scifi, I put suspense.

I've seen Johnny Guitar, I just want to use Shane. It's a good suggestion though.

Alright then.

For suspense, The Birds is a magnificent choice.

And isn't the point of the film that everyone wants to use Shane...?

Well, High Noon isn't any good either.  ;)

I dunno... once it gets to Noon it's quite interesting.

Can there be a few sentences on why these films should be considered Chick Flicks, or maybe some kind of thread that runs through all of these movies that would group them into a marathon?  I am just finding it hard to get behind this because the films seem all over the place. Thanks!  :)

Did my chick click marathon just get hijacked, or is this a different one?

I just made a new thread for the official list, if that's okay?  ;D
