I thought of doing a video director's poll, but I think Fincher would take it, even over Spike Jonze.  And I thought of putting Jonze against Gondry, but I think that's been done already.  So I decided to follow the suggestion of the Nolan vs. Jackson Deathmatch, throwing in a wild-card.  3 directors all at a similar stage in their career.  Who goes on?

Again, the criteria is imagine you know nothing about the film except the director.  If you only have time for 1 movie, whose film do you choose?

Im going with Cuaron because I expect the closest to greatness or at least the most interesting of the three. Nolan is last

Cuaron would be my choice here (despite professing my love for Nolan and Greengrass elsewhere) as his projects are so varied and yet I always find something I like.

Cuaron and it's not even that close for me (no, I'm not a Nolan hater).

Although, I have little Greengrass experience, just United 93 which I liked a whole lot.

Overall, I might prefer Nolan's filmography over Cuaron's but Children of Men is better than anything Nolan has done.

Cuaron.

Oh, and I like Greengrass too.

I love all of them.  I guess if they had 3 movies out on the same day, I'd see Greengrass first.

Well. Except that Memento is better than Children of Men and I think The Dark Knight is too.
