Unpredictable yet always interesting.

I like his films and then, there's a few that I don't like.

I love the Mariachi trilogy and my fave among them is El Mariachi with Desperado in second.  I totally love From Dusk Til' Dawn and Sin City.  I liked The Faculty and the first Spy Kids movie.  The second and third were OK but Sharkboy & Lava Girl was stupid yet, I give him a pass since it was written by his 10 year old son.  I do love Planet Terror for all of its violence and gore.

Unpredictable, but I'm always interested. RR isn't one of the best working today, but for the most part I have an idea of what I'm getting into when I go see one of his films and it's always interesting to see the style he brings to the screen, even in lighter films.

I tend to like his skills more than his films. I've seen a few of his movies in cinemas and other on DVD. On the bonus material Rodriguez always shows a huge amount of enthusiasm for movies, and I respect him for that. There are often interesting elements to his movies, be it either the plot, the look or the actors involved, but I rarely find the end result all that pleasing. The one exception was Sin City, which is one of my favorite comic book movies. Other than that, there isn't much he made that I want to watch again, including those Mariachi films.

I think I know what you,re talking about (I only have Sin City on DVD). He does that on every DVD? That's a cute segment.

There's another Cooking School on the OUATIM DVD but that's it so far.

I think it's safe to say that he's approaching Carpenter territory.  It's well within his capabilities to make a horror classic like The Thing.

Sounds like wishful thinking  :)
