Best diss ever:
Roger Ebert called Vincent Gallo's The Brown Bunny the worst movie screened at Cannes, and Gallo responded by refering to Ebert as a "fat pig."
Ebert's response: 'I will one day be thin but Vincent Gallo will always be the director of 'The Brown Bunny.'
*love*
He also notes in the review of the US re-cut release of The Brown Bunny: "...since I made that statement I have lost 86 pounds and Gallo is indeed still the director of "The Brown Bunny."
And because he's awesome he also gave a fairly positive review to the re-cut version (3 stars) and suggested that both versions be included in the DVD release so viewers can appreciate how 26 minutes of "aggressively pointless and empty footage" can ruin a movie.
