And Ebert was correct in praising The Brown Bunny when it was re-edited.

It still doesn't sound like a movie I have any interest in seeing...

It's not very good at all.

I worked on The Brown Bunny.  When I read the script during prep I thought, "this is going to be brilliant or the most self-indulgent film ever made."  I also thought the film had to be short or it would be obnoxiously slow.  When I heard of the 2+hr running time at Cannes I cringed.
Unfortunately I have no distance between the final product and the process of making it, even though I wasn't around for most of the filming.  (The crew was incredibly small outside of the hotel stuff.)

I'm not going back to uniform.   The major just called me and told me that he had to make some changes and instead of going back to the street I am going to be supervising the code enforcement unit.  This is going to be interesting!  It's actually something I was interested in doing and on my "wish list" when they asked us what we wanted to do, but I had adjusted my brain to going back on the street and was preparing for that.  This is going to be a whole 'nother brain adjustment and I have about 24 hours to do it.

Yikes! Hope this turns out to be a change you're happy with. Gotta love bosses who keep you on your toes. ;)

ISO worked on The Brown Bunny.
Tomorrow's lesson will be that it's 1SO, not ISO.

1SO is not ISO compliant.
