I know, I don't get that. It's just not a sight or feeling that ever bothered me; I don't like really big needles and I hate novocaine injections in my mouth but I always like to watch when I get blood drawn. It's kind of fascinating. I also have never been squeamish at the sight of blood. Probably a good thing in my line of work.
Look, here's how bad it was today:
When we were waiting for the shot, I wasn't that worried at the start. I've gotten shots before and they were fine, plus im not particularly squemish. But then I had the good fortune to have been seated next to the person who was most scared out of their wits, and you know how you have a tendency to talk to others and try and convince yourself it's gonna be ok when you're uber scared? I had to deal with that. She was going on about how the needle is huge, and that the medicine has awful aftereffects, and how it actually gives you swine flu in order to fend of the disease!
What happens?
You get a small bit of pain when the needle goes in(And I mean small) for about two seconds.
Your arms and legs feel a bit weak for about 15 minutes
and you have a bit of a bruising pain in your shoulder afterwards, nothing I haven't gotten after a martial arts class.
. Stupid hyperbolics. I wish I could be on my own next time I wait in line.
