Yea, "Firefly" is his worst.

and we have a candidate for the most insane thing ever posted on the forum.  :D
No, not really. All his other shows are tighter, wittier and tell smarter stories. I think people just fall in love with the characters and forget about the rest of the show.

I still like it a lot, it just clearly is his worst effort in my eyes.

This will blow your mind then.

Firefly is FAR better than Buffy imo. :D

Are you pretending Dollhouse doesn't exist?

Actually, it's his best work. I still do not get any of the complaints the film gets. It's one of the most creative, well written and thoughtful shows I've seen.

One of them should have the beginning renamed "Sliightly less obvious...."

This Joss Whedon guy is apparently highly praised, but from watching the complete series of "Firefly," I'm more inclined to see him as a nice guy with mediocre talent, who creates semi-ambitious projects and is lucky to find great actors to support his cult following.
Yea, "Firefly" is his worst. All his other stuff is varying degrees of good to pure awesomeness.

About half-way through the first season, the series shifts from a space melodrama to a space comedy (and a not a very funny one, at that) and this shift is so very jarring. It's as if they had no idea what they were getting into with this series.  :-\

It's equal parts comedy and drama right from the start.  ???
