Australia has a new Prime Minister! And she's a she!

Without confusing everyone with the how it works, the leader of the ALP changed, which means the new leader becomes the Prime Minister. Now it's one Julia Gillard, and I am stoked. She's easily the best bet to win the election in a couple of months, and far less likely to introduce policy allowing people to be stoned (in the biblical sense) on the street, which is what would probably happen if Tony Abbott, the opposition leader was elected.

I literally want to hug strangers in the street and throw rose petals everywhere I go.

I'm still a little bemused by it all, last night Rudd was PM, this morning Gillard is PM and I didn't vote for any of them.
Still......I'm pretty sure she'll be a bigger man than Rudd ever proved.

He made me feel like a third class witch doctor.
