Doing something a little different tonight.  Based on their polls, if I pit Aronofsky directly against Boyle, Darren will take an even bigger beating than he got from The Fountain.  So I'm pitting their actual next films against each other.

Are you more excited to see the The Wrestler, the Toast of Venice featuring what is said to be an Oscar-worthy performance by Mickey Rourke, and the complete career revival of Darren Aronofsky?

Or Slumdog Millionaire, the Audience favorite at Toronto, a film some critics are calling Danny Boyle's best work to date?

As a Bonus question, how might these two films change your opinion about the Greatness of their director?

Can I pick both? I love The Fountain and Sunshine so very much.

Slumdog Millionaire, it's not about wrestling.

  • Good work, sycophants!
I didn't realise Slumdog Millionaire was Boyle. My interest in seeing it has gone from nothing to one of my most anticipated. I am interested to see The Wrestler based on hype from Venice, but Boyle is gonna have to trump Aronofsky for me.

plus DA doesn't need a career revival, he's doing just fine.

  • Bitch, I been around since LimeWire.
giving the edge to the raves over Rourke's performance - so I don't have to choose between directors.

Can't make a choice based on the director because I'm not particularly fond of either. At this point I'm more interested in The Wrestler.
