Is Raging Bull noir? I've never seen it.

The best thing I ever saw was Mildred Pierce. That kid is such a bitch!

Raging Bull isn't noir at all. It's shot in Black and White, but that's about it, it doesn't follow any of the noir genre standards at all.

I love this idea for a marathon but I would imagine both Adam & Sam have seen most of these films.  But some more obscure noirs would be really exciting.

Here's a list of LA Noirs I recently put together:

Your probably right, Adam and Sam have probably seen alot of these film noirs already.

They should just tell us what movies, genres, they haven't seen.

Though I'm afraid I have not seen L.A. Confidential, I thought I would pass along that they are planning to make 2 sequels soon.

Just wanted to let any Noir fans know that there's a pretty good article about Film Noir in Vanity Fair (The Hollywood Issue - March '07)... it's a nice piece on the history of Noir and such, worth checking out if you don't mind carrying around a 30 lb. magazine comprised of about 99% advertisements ;)

Film Noir marathon would be awesome!
I just bought Kubrick's The Killing and I loved it :-*
And thanks for that list, there are many good movies on it.
Most of them I have seen, but the ones I haven't, I promise to check out! 8)

I would add the Arthur Penn directed Night Moves, with a great performance by Gene Hackman, in the only noir he's ever done, to my knowledge. Although, like many noirs, everything doesn't add up in the end, and Jennifer Warren's character has some really strange lines, it's still a favorite of mine. I think it's also a movie that relatively few have seen.

This is a great movie.
