Nothing much to discuss, I think. They complained about the Fridge scene and the Aliens, so nothing new here.

The thing that I wasn't sure of was how bad Parker and Stone actually thought Indy 4 was. It's clear they didn't like it, but they also seemed to be mocking those who took it way too seriously.

I love the fridge scene.

Me too. In hindsight, I like Crystal Skull quite a bit. I'm pretty sure I would return to hating it on another viewing, but why bother?

I did and I liked it better. It's not great but it's far from terrible.

I got the impression that it was a little bit of both. Especially since Butters was the only person who enjoyed it.  The first thing that came to my mind was how everyone loves to complain about [popular childhood thing that has been turned into a big budget film/sequel] raping their childhood.

Seriously though, the Accused one with the Howard the Duck pinball machine? Loved it.

I'm pretty sure both Lucas and Spielberg had already died before though. I know my South Park and I'm positive that S.S.'s face melted off or exploded in the Free Hat episode when they re-released Raiders to a mass audience. Still, a great episode. Also, Indiana Jones 4 was the worst experience I have had in a theater all year, it was one of the only times I ever felt like walking out of a film, from about five minutes in I couldn't sit still because I needed to get out o there so bad, and I haven't seen any of the other Indy flicks, but I am positive this one was bad. Hell, I even sat through Cloverfield and didn't have the urge to leave, I was more content just waiting till it finished to get out of there, but with Indy I needed to get out to keep my sanity.

Indy 4 was terrible.

Like I said in another thread Lucas should be banned from working on, thinking about, reading about, seeing, or being near another movie, TV show, book, article, or video game for the rest of his life. In fact, I am not convinced that such an lifetime ban would not somehow generally improve all films made.

The monkey scene in Indy 4 was terrible to a level that I really didnt think was humanly possible.
