Outremont (Montréal) Thomas Mulclaire, NDP, is the MP right now. Of course, that might change in a couple of hours...

-Le Chiffre: You changed your shirt, Mr Bond. I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire.

-James Bond: A little. But I won't consider myself to be in trouble until I start weeping blood.

Outremont, eh. Montreal is a heck of a town. I could go for some Coco Rico right about now.

Are the NDP going to hang on to their big by-election steal?

Most likely. He's a pretty big name candidate (as far as the NDP in Québec go that is) and I don't think the others got good media attention. I want to see if Trudeau wins Papineau though.

I think he will. It's early but he's leading. I think Papineau's BQ support was a response to Sponsorship.

He was speaking at UBC (where I am) last week but I didn't have chance to see it.

I don't know why I'm following this, I can't vote.

Also, no such luck for the NDP in the Plateau. It looks like Mulcair's chances have completely died.

Just goes to show, you can't trust by-election results.

You better believe I'll be following things on Nov 4.

Yeah, but you're government will actually be affected by ours, not vice-versa.

Nice.

I actually voted Liberal in Outremont. Looks like my vote did count.

Nice to see you're joining in on the fun face. Don't worry, we'll all be glad glued to the tele in November for the American election. The world will be!

Especially when Obama re-opens NAFTA.  ;)
