Even though I love what Jonze has done, I'd probably replace him with Soderbergh based on his small output (as everyone else has noted).  The same case could probably made for Stanton.

Coens. Yea, they make interesting films, they just don't happen to be all that great.

3. Brad Bird: I'm excited about 1906, but looking at what he's done I can't say that I'm very impressed. I never cared much for Iron Giant, The Incredibles, despite the Ayn Rand themes, was the least enjoyable experience I've had with a Pixar film in a theater, and Ratatouille, easily what I'd call his best, still isn't really a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned.

I know someone who has a heart made of steel...

I think I tear up/cry every time I watch that film.
