I wonder how many names the Index can hold and how full it can be before people find it too daunting a task to use it (or maintain it with updates.)

I 2nd the following, but will probably add more once I look up the names.

Andrew Davis
Anthony & Joe Russo - this is going to happen, certainly by the time Civil War opens
Antoine Fuqua
Francis Lawrence
James Marsh
Jay Roach
Joe Johnston
John Lee Hancock
Jon Turtletaub
Kevin Reynolds
Lasse Hallstrom
Lee Daniels
John & Martin McDonagh - thought we had one for Martin
Mike Newell - thought we had this too
Nora Ephron
Penny Marshall
Richard Curtis
Rob Marshall
Roland Emmerich
Todd Phillips

Animated names:
Don Bluth
Don Hertzfeldt
Gary Trousdale & Kirk Wise
Henry Selick

Perhaps a multiple post index would be best for handling any growth in this subforum. Similar to how we handled Filmspot FYCs this year. First post could be an index to the other posts which contain the actual links. Not sure if people would think that would become too embedded to following down the rabbit hole.

Anthony & Joe Russo
Kevin Costner

These are the only ones I can confidently say I have watched movies from. Probably know some others without being aware of them.

I would argue against including most of these. Animated films are often the product of more than 1 director, and these directors switch out with others for different projects. So names like Sharpsteen, Reitherman, Luske all work on a number of different Disney projects (which have appeared in their own polls). Or Brenda Chapman, who only has 2 actual Directing credits.

So even a team like Gary Trousdale & Kirk Wise, you're basically running a Deathmatch between Beauty & the Beast, Hunchback of Notre Dame and Atlantis. It's not as substantial a filmography as Lord/Miller or Musker/Clements

Of these only Selick, Minkoff, Bluth and Hertzfeldt have their own brand identities, so those are the only 4 I have down to receive Director Threads.

It's your world, we're just living in it! No, I mean in all honesty, your discretion is better than mine, and I totally back any decision you make.
